Neusibatrachus was named by Seiffert (1972). It is not extant. Its type is Neusibatrachus wilferti.

It was assigned to Palaeobatrachidae by Carroll (1988); to Anuri by Báez and Sanchiz (2007); and to Xenoanura by Baez (2013).
