Protomoropus hengyangensis
Taxonomy
Propalaeotherium hengyangensis was named by Young (1944). Its type specimen is IVPP V214, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Changpiliang, IVPP Loc. 76003, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lingcha Formation of China.
It was recombined as Propachynolophus hengyangensis by Li et al. (1979); it was recombined as Protomoropus hengyangensis by Bai et al. (2018).
