Alophia metios

Taxonomy
Alophia metios was named by Rasmussen et al. (2019). Its type specimen is KNM-NW 49735, a mandible (right mandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nakwai TOP-01, which is in a Miocene terrestrial siltstone in Kenya. It is the type species of Alophia.
