Syngnathus emeritus
Taxonomy
Syngnathus emeritus was named by Fritzsche (1980). Its type specimen is LCAM 27445, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Dimas, which is in a Tortonian marine horizon in the Puente Formation of California.
