Taxonomy
Olenellus (Olenellus) fowleri was named by Palmer (1998). Its type specimen is DMNH 16074, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality ICS-1173, which is in a Lenian carbonate limestone in the Pioche Shale Formation of Nevada.
