Taxonomy
Stegocoleus arkonus was named by Tihelka et al. (2019). Its type specimen is NIGP170946, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
