Taxonomy
Eosiganus kumaensis was named by Tyler and Bannikov (1997). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pshekha River, Gorny Luch, Eocene, which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Eosiganus.
