Taxonomy
Orthis mundae was named by Sharpe (1853) [Orthis? mundae]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Buçaco, Serra de Bussaco, which is in a Kralodvorian marine ironstone in the Porto de Santa Anna Formation of Portugal.

It was recombined as Hedstroemina mundae by Colmenar (2016).
