Taxonomy
Baculites klingeri was named by Cooper (2003). Its type specimen is SAM-PCA1737, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West of São Nicolau, bed V, which is in a Coniacian carbonate limestone in the Salinas Formation of Angola.
