Taxonomy
Pseudoblastomeryx was named by Tedford et al. (1987) [named as subgenus of Parablastomeryx by Frick 1937; implicitly raised to genus level; followed by Webb 1998a]. It is not extant. Its type is Parablastomeryx falkenbachi.
It was assigned to Moschidae by Tedford et al. (1987), Webb (1998); and to Blastomerycinae by Prothero (2007), Prothero (2008).
