Taxonomy
Carcharhinus kasserinensis was named by Adnet et al. (2020). Its type specimen is KEB 1-087, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Djebel el Kébar, which is in a Bartonian lagoonal mudstone/sandstone in Tunisia.
