Taxonomy
Streptelasma etnaense was named by Elias and Potter (1984). Its type specimen is USNM 341908 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 18138, which is in an Ashgill carbonate limestone in the Kangaroo Creek Formation of California.
