Taxonomy
Hallensia louisi was named by Hooker (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MNHN.Mu-218-L, a tooth (Left M1/2). Its type locality is Mutigny, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial claystone in the Argiles a Lignites de d’Epernay Formation of France.
