Taxonomy
Malthodes aliger was named by Kazantsev (2021). Its type specimen is MAIG 6670, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (University of Gdansk MAI collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
