Malthodes (Libertimalthodes) jaredi was named by Fanti (2021). Its type specimen is INHSP-18002, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber (INHS collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Lithuania.
