Taxonomy
Yakemys multiporcata was named by Tong et al. (2021). Its type specimen is SM KS39, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ban Huai Yang, which is in a Tithonian/Berriasian fluvial siltstone in the Phu Kradung Formation of Thailand. It is the type species of Yakemys.
