Taxonomy
Caedocyon tedfordi was named by Wang (1994). Its type specimen is UW 10251, a partial skull (rostral part of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dog Skull, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
