Taxonomy
Cedrocherus ryani was named by Gingerich (1983) [genotype]. Its type locality is Cedar Point Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian fluvial-lacustrine siliciclastic in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Cedrocherus.
