Negundo triloba was named by Newberry (1868) [Original name: Acer Newberryi R.W. Brown]. It is not extant.
It was recombined as Acer triloba by LaMotte (1952); it was recombined as Dicotylophyllum trilobum by Wolfe and Tanai (1987) and Wolfe and Tanai (1987).
