Taxonomy
Chiromyoides potior was named by Gingerich (1975). Its type specimen is USNM 10639, a tooth (left upper central incisor), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Carracas Station, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Colorado.
