Entomolestes grangeri
Taxonomy
Entomolestes grangeri was named by Matthew (1909). Its type specimen is A.M.N.H. No. 11485, a mandible (fragment of the left jaw with P3-M3 and five anterior alveoli preserved), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grizzly Buttes, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Entomolestes.
