Taxonomy
Coomania megistos was named by Jenkins Shaw et al. (2022). Its type specimen is SNUC-Paleo-0104, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (Shanghai Normal University SNUC collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
