Taxonomy
Sabalocaulon intertrappeum was named by Trivedi and Verma (1981). It is not extant. Its type locality is Parapani, which is in a Paleogene fluvial horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India. It is the type species of Sabalocaulon.
