Taxonomy
Eumylodon chapadmalensis was named by Kraglievich (1925). Its type specimen is MACN 8675, a skull (slightly damaged skull and mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Glossotherium chapadmalensis by MacFadden et al. (1993); it was recombined as Glossotherium chapadmalense by Kraglievich (1928), Kurten and Anderson (1980), McDonald (1995), McDonald and Naples (2007), McAfee (2009).
