Taxonomy
Hibbardomys voorhiesi was named by Zakrzewski (1984) [genotype]. Its type locality is Big Springs Gravel Pit, which is in a Blancan floodplain siltstone in the Long Pine Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Hibbardomys.
