Simocyon diaphorus

Taxonomy
Simocyon diaphorus was named by Kaup (1832). Its type specimen is BMNH M 412, a mandible (cast of the lost holotype. Left mandible fragment with p3-m2. Neotype—MNHM PW 2005/1-LS, left mandible fragment with single alveolus of p1 and complete p2-m2), and it is a 3D body fossil.
