Taxonomy
Pleuropholis danielae was named by Brito and Vullo (2023). Its type specimen is MHNM.KK.393, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Agoult, Gara Sbaa hill (MHNM collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Akrabou Formation of Morocco.
