Pozabudnutie anakitensis was named by Vršanský and Aristov (2022). Its type specimen is PIN 5381/18, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Anakit-3 (PIN collection 5381), which is in a Changhsingian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Chichikan Formation of the Russian Federation.
