Lambdotherium popoagicum

Taxonomy

Lambdotherium popoagicum was named by Cope (1880) [genotype; misattributed to Bonillas 1936 by Mader 1998]. It is the type species of Lambdotherium.

Synonyms

Lambdotherium magnum was named by Osborn (1919). Its type specimen is AMNH 17527, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huerfano VI, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Huerfano Formation of Colorado.

It was synonymized subjectively with Lambdotherium popoagicum by Bonillas (1936), Robinson (1966).
Lambdotherium primaevum was named by Loomis (1907).

It was synonymized subjectively with Lambdotherium popoagicum by Sinclair and Granger (1911), Bonillas (1936), Stucky (1984).
Lambdotherium priscum was named by Osborn (1913).

It was synonymized subjectively with Lambdotherium popoagicum by Bonillas (1936).
Lambdotherium progressum was named by Osborn (1913).

It was synonymized subjectively with Lambdotherium popoagicum by Bonillas (1936).
