Enhydriodon hendeyi was named by Morales et al. (2005). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PQ-L 50000, a mandible. Its type locality is Langebaanweg unspecified Pliocene quarries, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
