Taxonomy
Paramachaerodus yingliangi was named by Jiangzou et al. (2022) [small sized Paramachaerodus (comparable to P. ogygia). The temporal ridge nearly straight, P4 with nearly straight buccal border.]. Its type specimen is YLSNHM 01771,, a partial skull (anterior cranium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Xingjiawan Fauna, which is in a Miocene terrestrial mudstone in China.
