Taxonomy
Gemineurothrips microcephalus was named by Ulitzka (2022). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Ulitzka MU-Fos coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Gemineurothrips.
