Taxonomy
Holopea ophelia was named by Billings (1865). It is not extant. Its type locality is Point Riche, Zone L, which is in a Darriwilian shallow subtidal limestone in the Table Point Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Straparollina ophelia by Wagner (2023).
