Scombrinus dunedinensis
Taxonomy
Portheus dunedinensis was named by Chapman (1935). Its type specimen is OU 6855, a partial skull (partial skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abbotsford Railway Station, which is in a Heretaungan marine horizon in the Abbotsford Formation of New Zealand.
It was recombined as Scombrinus dunedinensis by Robinson et al. (2024).
