Murrayglossus hacketti (Hackett's Giant Echidna)

Taxonomy
Zaglossus hacketti was named by Glauert (1914). Its type specimen is WAM 60.10.1, a partial skeleton (associated partial skeleton including the atlas, clavicles and episternum, pelvic girdle, femora, a tibia and radius), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mammoth Cave, which is in a Pleistocene cave horizon in Australia. It is the type species of Murrayglossus.

It was recombined as Murrayglossus hacketti by Flannery et al. (2022).
