Pagellus pamunkeyensis
Taxonomy
Pagellus pamunkeyensis was named by Lin and Nolf (2022). Its type specimen is IRSNB P 10255, an otolith (sagitta), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pamunkey River, 1 km E of Eanes property, which is in a Lutetian offshore horizon in the Piney Point Formation of Virginia.
