Carya leroyii
Taxonomy
Carya leroyii was named by Wheeler et al. (2023). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UF 278-84908, a wood. Its type locality is Dietz Hill, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the John Day Formation of Oregon.
