Taxonomy
Palaeobalistum ventralis was named by Davis (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (BMNH collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Nursallia ventralis by Blot (1987).
