Taxonomy
Notonucula talenti was named by Bradshaw (1999). It is not extant. Its type locality is Adam Mudstone, Inangahua & Waitahu Outliers, Reefton area, New Zealand, which is in an Emsian marine mudstone/siltstone in the Adam Mudstone Formation of New Zealand.
