Mictomys vetus
Taxonomy
Synaptomys vetus was named by Wilson (1933) [also but incorrectly said to be 1934]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jackass Butte (USGS 20764), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Idaho.
It was recombined as Mictomys vetus by Martin and Schultz (1985), Repenning (1992), Repenning et al. (1995), Fejfar and Repenning (1998).
