Patagornis marshi
Taxonomy
Patagornis marshi was named by Moreno and Mercerat (1891). Its type specimen is Museo de La Plata, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santa Cruz Formation, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial horizon in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina.
It was synonymized subjectively with Phororhacos inflatus by Ameghino (1894).
