Cyrtospira tortilis
Taxonomy
Cyrtospira tortilis was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897) [Ulrich in Ulrich & Scofield 1897]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Murfreesboro, which is in an Ashbyan shallow subtidal wackestone/packstone in the Murfreesboro Limestone Formation of Tennessee. It is the type species of Cyrtospira.
