It was assigned to Macronaria by Royo-Torres et al. (2007); to Titanosauriformes by Tidwell et al. (2001), Ruiz-Omeñaca and Canudo (2003), Apesteguía (2005), Tidwell and Wilhite (2005) and Rose (2007); to Titanosauria by Upchurch et al. (2004) and Mannion and Calvo (2011); to Laurasiformes by Royo-Torres et al. (2012); and to Brachiosauridae by Britt et al. (2009), D'Emic (2012), Mannion et al. (2013), D'Emic (2013), Carballido et al. (2015), D'Emic et al. (2016), Salisbury et al. (2016), Mannion et al. (2017) and Mannion et al. (2019).
