S.-Z. Shen et al. 2004Small size for Spirigerellidae, subcircular in outline, subequally biconvex; usually widest at shell midlength, anterior commissure parasulcate or uniplicate. Ventral beak strongly curved, perforated by small foramen; sulcus weak to strong. Surface smooth except for several fine growth lines. Ventral interior with two short and divergent dental plates, dental plates straight to valve floor, closely adjoining the lateral valve walls; no spondylium. Dorsal interior with narrow hinge plate.
