Schizodelphis morckhoviensis

Taxonomy
Priscodelphinus morckhoviensis was named by Du Bus (1872). Its type specimen is USNM 187621 (occipital condyles) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Anvers, Berchem Fm., Antwerp Sands, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian open shallow subtidal sandstone in the Berchem Formation of Belgium.

It was synonymized subjectively with Eurhinodelphis longirostris by Abel (1902) and Trouessart (1904); it was recombined as Schizodelphis morckhoviensis by Lambert (2004), Benoit et al. (2011) and Godfrey and Lambert (2023).
