Schizodelphis barnesi

Taxonomy
Rhabdosteus barnesi was named by Myrick (1979). Its type specimen is USNM 244403 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Church Point, east of, Zone 12-13, which is in a Langhian estuary/bay claystone in the Calvert Formation of Virginia.

It was recombined as Schizodelphis barnesi by Muizon (1988), Benoit et al. (2011) and Godfrey and Lambert (2023).
