Zonidiscus grayi was named by Reed (1921). It is not extant. Its type locality is Locality 4. Shalloch Mill, Whitehouse Bay, Girvan, which is in a Pusgillian carbonate limestone in the Mill Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Tropidodiscus grayi by HornĂ½ (1997).
