Bellerophon cambriensis was named by Belt (1868) [Bellerophon Cambriensis]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Telamocornu cambriense by Berg-Madsen and Peel (1994); it was recombined as Telamocornu cambriensis by Wagner (2023).
