Goniostropha pritchardi was named by Etheridge (1898). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Murchisonia (Murchisonia) pritchardi by Tassell (1982); it was recombined as Murchisonia pritchardi by Tassell (1976) and Wagner (2023).
