Taxonomy
Comptonia soullansensis was named by Breton (1992). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Nantes, holotype MHNN E.A. (f) 2, paratype MHNH 8. It was considered monophyletic by Breton (1992).
